How to make a New York Sour?
A pre-prohibition cocktail that has made a comeback over recent years. The addition of a splash of red wine differentiates it from a Whiskey Sour and gives it an interesting twist worth trying.
– 60mL Bourbon Whiskey (or Rye if preferred)
– 30mL Fresh Lemon Juice
– 22.5mL Sugar Syrup (1:1)
– 1 x Egg White
– 30mL Red Wine
1. Dry shake the egg white
2. Fill your shaker with ice and add the remaining ingredients except for the red wine
3. Shake & strain over fresh ice into a Double Old Fashioned glass
4. Float the red wine on top
