Rémy Martin Launch MVP Experience

Last Thursday, The House of Rémy Martin launched their MVP Experience with sports personalities and brand ambassadors Roger Mason Jr. and Baron Davis. Guests such as Selita Ebanks, Broderick Hunter, Tracy McGrady, James Shipp Jr, Matthew Noszka and more tested their basketball skills while enjoying music and the latest MVP inspired cocktails by Rémy Martin.

For connoisseurs interested in being part of The House of Rémy Martin’s MVP Experience, a special limited-edition Rémy Martin 1738 gift box will be available at specialty spirits retailer locations nationwide this holiday season. Inspired by streetwear culture, the collectible is designed in the form of a sneaker box and will hold a 750ml bottle of Rémy Martin 1738. Cedric Townsend, known for Nice Box, customized sneaker boxes with clientele including 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, New England Patriots running back James White and Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond, created special sneaker box sets with the brand that will be on display at select retail locations.

According to Rémy Martin: “The House of Rémy Martin will forever be intertwined with the lands of Charente where it was founded in 1724. It is in this small piece of French terroir that our signature blend of Grande and Petite Champagne crus was born, together forming Cognac Fine Champagne. The secret to the most aromatic grapes lies in the soil in which the vines grow. Using fruit from only quality vineyards, the pale and chalky soil of the region provides the ideal conditions to ripen the grapes to perfection.”

“An excellence cultivated by patience and devotion, the House is a guardian of time. By focusing on the Cognac Fine Champagne, we chose to privilege aging the grapes, allowing them to fully reveal and express their true character. Passed down from generation to generation, this approach has been at the heart of our Cognac—extraordinary eaux-de-vie with a complex palette of rich and unique aromas.”

Speaking on the brand’s world-famous XO expression, Rémy says: “In 1981, legendary Cellar Master André Giraud decided he wanted to pay tribute to the three-century-long union between Grande and Petite Champagne that lies at the heart of Rémy Martin. The result was the Rémy Martin XO-an extra-old Cognac with a captivating explosion of fragrances. For more than 30 years, the XO has been an emblem of the unparalleled excellence of this signature blend.”

“Embodying the unique essence of the land, the XO is matured to perfection over time and perfectly balanced between the mellow yet robust eaux-de-vie of the Grande Champagne and the sweet softness of the Petite Champagne. Following one to two years of “marriage” in the barrels, the eaux-de-vie of Cognac Fine Champagne form a complex fragrance with a luxurious texture. Its exceptional smoothness is laced with an understated bouquet of aromas: floral scents of jasmine and iris enhanced by deeper notes of ripe autumn fruit, undercut with a hint of cinnamon, freshly ground hazelnuts and a hint of woody tobacco.”
