Plunge Into Summer with a Colorful AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver

For 2017, luxury Swiss watchmaker, Audemars Piguet, has expanded their Royal Oak Offshore Diver collection to include five new colorful versions. Let’s dive in and take a closer look.

Part of the so-called Funky Colors edition, the new AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver watches join chronograph versions that made their debut last year. Available in a range of vibrant shades—from green to blue to yellow to orange—these are the perfect luxury sport watches for the upcoming summer season.

Sized at a generous 42mm, the stainless steel case of the Audemars Piguet Diver dons the iconic Royal Oak Offshore octagon shape with eight exposed screws on the bezel. Another characteristic design element of the Royal Oak Offshore is the “Mega Tapisserie” dial, which on this model, is offered in fantastic colors. The accompanying rubber straps further complement the bright hues of the Funky Colors collection. It is worth mentioning, however, that AP does offer a more muted white version of the Diver with subtle blue accents.

These being diving watches, the AP ROO Diver timepieces are water resistant to 300 meters. Plus, they also include a rotating inner bezel with diving scale for divers to track immersion times, which is controlled via a screw-down crown at 10 o’clock.

At the core of the new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver watches is the Caliber 3120, which drives the time, date, and dive-time measurement functions. This Audemars Piguet automatic mechanical movements operates at 21,600 beats per hour (3 Hz) and offers 60 hours of power reserve.
