Forget an eponymous clothing label, having an alcohol brand is what’s trending in A-list circles right now. And the fashionable liquor of choice? Tequila.
Unfortunately, tequila has for a long time—thanks in part to inexperienced drinkers—suffered a bad rap. But for those in the know, tequila is a delicious drink to be savored and enjoyed responsibly. There are so many different types, tastes, and shades of tequila that to disregard it all together would be a great shame. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that tequila seems to elevate one’s mood rather than depress it, thus it’s often at the center of any good party.
Given Hollywood’s proximity to Mexico, it’s no surprise that tequila is the drink de rigueur in this town. Here are three celebrities that have their very own tequila brands under their belts.
Santo Mezquila
Before Sammy Hagar and Adam Levine teamed up to make and market Santo Mezquila, there was Cabo Wabo Tequila: a hand-made tequila that the talented entrepreneur and ex-Van Halen front man sold at his popular cantina in the Mexican town of Cabo San Lucas in the 1990s. He eventually sold 80% of the brand in 2007 for $80 million.
If Sammy is behind the brand, we know it’ll be a hit.
The new Santo Mezquila brand is the first that combines tequila and mezcal for a wonderfully smoky flavor. If Sammy is behind the brand, we know it’ll be a hit.

Justin Timberlake
No stranger to the party scene and certainly one of the most talented entertainers on the planet, Justin Timberlake takes his shot at the tequila market. He partnered with tequila megabrand, Sauza, to produce a premium triple distilled tequila dubbed Sauza 901. Each batch begins with the finest blue agave that is at least seven years old.
This super smooth tequila is best enjoyed straight, on the rocks, without the need for the ubiquitous lime.

Ryan Seacrest
From his daily radio show heard around the world to his endless television hosting duties, the busiest man in entertainment is also a great investor. Ryan Seacrest has a stake in one of the best sipping tequilas around—Casa Dragones.
Founded by MTV creator Robert Pittman and “Maestra Tequilera” Bertha González Nieves, Casa Dragones, a small-batch tequila which comes in gorgeous hand-engraved bottles, has won countless awards. Can Hollywood’s favorite guy ever go wrong?
Tequila is known to increase the energy at an already energetic party, but it does not mix well. So buy yourself a premium sipping tequila and enjoy it like a boss.
